<p>When you need to pass network settings, for a static IP configuration on the host, follow the below steps.</p>
<p>Lets say the guest is setup as</p>
<blockquote><p>IP:192.168.1.2, with netmask 255.255.255.0 and router 192.168.1.1</p></blockquote>
<p>Then host needs to be</p>
<blockquote><p>IP: 192.168.1.3 (or 4 or 5..), with netmask 255.255.255.0 and router 192.168.1.1</p></blockquote>
